Managing employee conduct

We are often discussing with members how to manage challenging situations in schools with their staff. The Department is running an information session about managing employee conduct concerns at school.

The session will cover:

• how to decide what process to follow under the guidelines for Managing Conduct and Unsatisfactory Performance in the Teaching Service. You will also learn about the resources available to support these processes
• when to contact the Conduct and Integrity Division for help managing conduct matters, and how to meet your child safety obligations under the Reportable Conduct Scheme
• the role of the Victorian Institute of Teaching as a regulator, and how we work with the regulator to support child safety.
