Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends!

Welcome to Week 6 of Term 2!

We’re already halfway through this term! This week’s theme is “Sports”. It is without a doubt that TheirCare children love engaging in sports. During this week we have been playing a variety of sports games like basketball, tennis, football, gaga ball, and blocked soccer every afternoon. Not only that, but we have also been doing a lot of arts and crafts activities, every morning we do sports-themed colouring pages while in the afternoons we do paper plate sports ball craft, sports ball colouring, and all-star pointer – it is so lovely to see how they can be so creative and imaginative when engaging to all arts and crafts activities. TheirCare children are not just good at sports and arts, they are also good at creating something amazing out of the sand in the sandpit area and some were showing us their new tricks at the monkey bars. The weather was not that good this week but that didn’t stop us from having fun this week.

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Inara Crowe-Leopold for comforting and looking after others when they are upset and making sure they feel better. Well done Inara! You should be so proud of yourself. 😊

We would like to let all prep families know that the prep children started walking themselves over to their classrooms every morning from TheirCare. We are very excited to let you all know that they have done such an amazing job and showed great confidence. In addition to that, starting next week, we will be encouraging prep children to walk themselves over to the gym every afternoon – they will be supervised by one of the TheirCare staff as they transit. We are very excited about this as we have noticed that the prep children seem very ready to take this next step. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to discuss them with us. 

Also, Ashleigh is away for 2 weeks as she is doing her placement. We missed her at TheirCare. All the best on your placement Ash!
