Introduction

This report outlines the progress of students currently engaged in their work placements as part of our VPC AND VCE VM program of study in Work Related Skills. The placements aim to provide students with practical experience, industry insight, and skill development in real workplace environments.

Student Progress

Overall, students are showing steady adaptation and elements of personal growth in their respective placements. Below is a summary of key observations:

 

a. Skill Development

· Students are developing their soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management.

· Exposure to industry-specific tools and processes has enhanced their technical understanding.

 

b. Workplace Engagement

· Most students are integrating well with staff and clients.

· Attendance and punctuality rates have been consistently high.

· Students are demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn.

 

c. Challenges Encountered

· Due to limited familiarity with the language, some of our students feel challenged when communicating or receiving instructions at work.

· Support measures, such as mentoring and regular check-ins, are in place to address these challenges. Regular staff at workplaces are being encouraged to assist in this area.
