Class Excursions

Hansen Reserve
On Wednesday, 8th May 2025, our class enjoyed a fun and engaging afternoon excursion to Hansen Reserve in West Footscray, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
The session was filled with interactive group activities designed to build teamwork, communication, and just have a good time outdoors. One of the highlights was a creative twist on a classic cup toss game, where students had to bounce ping pong balls into cups containing mystery challenges or fun questions. The friendly competition sparked lots of laughter and energy!
This was a great opportunity for students to connect outside the classroom in a relaxed, open-air environment. Everyone participated with enthusiasm, and the weather was perfect for an afternoon at the park. The excursion not only strengthened peer relationships but also gave our EAL learners a chance to practice their communication skills in a casual setting.
Here are a few snapshots from our day at Hansen Reserve:
Bowling
Last week, our students swapped the classroom for the bowling lanes and it was a hit! As part of our commitment to creating meaningful experiences beyond academics, Oaktree College students enjoyed a fun-filled excursion to the local bowling alley.
Laughter echoed through the lanes as students encouraged one another, celebrated strikes, and bonded over shared moments of joy.
Excursions like this are more than just fun, they build confidence, social connection, and a sense of belonging. At Oaktree, we know that learning happens not just in books, but in relationships, memories, and moments that bring our community closer together.
A huge thank you to our staff for organising the day and to our students for showing up with such positive energy and great attitudes.
We look forward to more excursions like this in the future as we continue to create fun, inclusive, and memorable experiences for our students.
