Emotional Time For Our School Community

As you may be aware, last week was an extremely emotional time for many of our staff and students at the college, with the tragic passing of one of our Year 10 students. I have expressed my condolences to the Memery family on behalf of the college community and would ask all members of the community to respect the privacy of the family at this extremely difficult time.

North West Funerals have been engaged to conduct the funeral service on behalf of the Memery family and they have chosen this Friday 20th November 2020 @ 2pm, for the funeral service for their son. This will be a private service due to the current COVID restrictions, however the public will be able to watch a live stream of the service from 2pm. The link for the streaming service will be placed on the North West Funerals website. The PIN number will be 1604.

As is always the case, the choice as to whether students view the streamed service in their own homes will be a personal decision made by individual families. (In line with DET advice, live streaming cannot occur at school.) If parents notify the college that their child will be absent from school to attend the streamed funeral service, they will be marked as an approved absence - ‘parent choice’ on the class roll.
