Grandparents' Day: Wednesday 26th July

On Wednesday 26th July, Resurrection School will celebrate Grandparents' Day. This year we will focus our celebration around family, food and connection.

Timetable for the day:

9:30am : Whole School Mass in our Church to celebrate our loved ones

10:45am :  Grandparents enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit

11:40am :  Grandparents join their grandchildren in the classroom for a special activity

Special Request

We are asking each family to share a family recipe with the school.  These recipes plus special drawings by the children will be complied to make a 'Resurrection School Family Recipe Book'.  This special recipe book will be available for sale later in the year.  This will be a very special keepsake for many years to come.

Grandparents Day celebrates the diversity of grandparent relationships across age groups, cultural backgrounds, and geographical locations.

Grandparents, grand-friends, kin, and those who take on the role of a grandparent in their family or community are recognised for their contributions.

Grandparents help children gain a sense of history, heritage, and identity. They provide a vital connection to the past. Grandparents can pass on important family traditions and life stories that a grandchild will not only relish when young but will grow to appreciate even more over time.
