Election Day BBQ & Cake Stall - Saturday 18th May 2019

On Saturday 18th May our school hosted an Election day Sausage Sizzle and Cake Stall to feed our local hungry voters. After a crisp start to the morning the sun came out, the voters rolled in and we sold out! We cooked and sold 800+ Sausages, 15 kilos of onions, 40+ loaves of bread and many delicious home-baked goodies! It was a fun-filled and very successful day with high demand for a democracy sausage, with a sausage sell-out by 2pm and home-baked goods sold out by 4pm.

With Moonee Ponds West a Polling Booth for the Election it provided an additional opportunity to raise funds to contribute towards future projects at our wonderful school. We would not be able to run these events without the help of our school community so we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the community members who donated their time before and on the day. To the pricing team, set-up crew, the “runners”, bakers, the cooks, the servers and the clean-up crew a small amount of your time made a huge difference to the smooth running and success of this event, thank you.  We are really excited and proud to report that we raised $3990 on the day and without your efforts it would not have been possible.

We would also like to make a special mention and thank you to Sandra Monaghan, Kerri Simpson and Brian Lees for all of their help in supporting this event and to Bakers Delight Ascot Vale for their generous bread donation.
