Lego Excursion
This week the Foundation and Grade 1 students attended the Lego Education Centre in Docklands, linking to our Inquiry Unit - Can We Fix It?
On Thursday 16 May, Room 1 and 2 went on an excursion to the Lego Education Centre, Docklands. We were so excited in the morning to go on our first excursion for the year. We had a fun day building a ‘Jack in the Box,’ and other constructions using Duplo. We had to build it by only looking at a picture and then using trial and error to see it work. We learnt about leavers, pullies and gears. In the second session we had time to become creative and build flying and moving objects using Lego, designing the coolest playground and building a seat for an adult to sit on!
It was a wonderful day! We were very tired at the end of the day, we even had some sleepy ones on the bus ride home.
Thank you to the parents who came along for the day and to the students who were fantastic!

School Photos are now ready to order!
Families that have registered will have received an email this morning with all the information they need to view and order their photos.
There is an instructional video on the main ordering page if any families need further assistance with the new ordering process. Also included is a link to the video below.
If families have not previously registered, they can go to www.order.arphotos.com.au and use the individual code distributed on photo day to complete their order.
For any families that have lost their code, please contact ARP directly on (03) 5243 4390 and the customer service team will be able to assist.
There is a 10 day initial ordering period for free delivery back to MPW which will end on 30th May 2019. After this time, there will be a $9.95 postage and handling fee on all orders, which will be sent home to a nominated address.
Australian Mathematics Competition
Is coming soon... Thursday August 1st. Applications are available from the Office and close on 30 June.
Please consider this as a MUST DO for students in years 3-6. The cost per student will be $6.50.
