Success for Albert Green at the National All Breeds Junior Heifer Show

Albert had a very fun and successful time at the National All Breeds Junior Heifer show at Blayney on the weekend. 169 competitors attend the show. Albert placed 2nd in his paraders class and just missed out on reserve champion for his age group. Over the whole weekend the competitors are judged on how well they care for their cattle, their fellow competitors and just their overall behaviour and enthusiasm. Albert received reserve champion herdsman for his age group of approx 30 children bringing home a bunch of prizes.

Wednesday 7 September was National Indigenous Literacy Day, a celebration of stories and language of the First Nations Peoples.

At Patrick’s, students celebrated Indigenous Literacy Day by reading, watching, and listening to stories and songs in the library. The students especially liked singing ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ in 3 languages with Jess Mauboy.
