SSV State Swimming Championships

Maddie A competed at the Victorian State Swimming Championships on the 28th of April at MSAC. This qualification meant that Maddie is one of the top 8 swimmers in the U11 Breaststroke 50m competition in the state of Victoria.

Maddie swam a fantastic race in and just missed a podium finish, finishing in fourth place!

Some of our school students tuned into the event via the SSV live stream on the internet and cheered for Maddie!

Congratulations Maddie. Fatima is very proud of you and your efforts!

SSV Southern Metropolitan Regional Tennis Tournament

Hudson H competed at the Southern Metropolitan Regional Tennis tournament on Thursday the 4th of May at the Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre.

Hudson again performed very well, making it to the Semi Finals of this competition.

Well done Hudson! Fatima is very proud of you and your efforts!

Our Lady of Fatima School Cross Country

The OLOF School Cross Country event was held at Olympic Park, Rosebud Soccer and Baseball grounds on Friday the 28th of April. I had a close eye on the weather websites all day as rain was promised later in the day. We did make the call to run our Year 3-6 student events ‘back to back’ to hopefully avoid the afternoon of rain. One of our running groups was mid race when the rain began to fall! A special mention goes out to the 12/13 Year Old Girls who had to complete most of their race in rain!

Congratulations to all of the students who finished or attempted the Cross Country Course.

After all of the races, results were tallied up and the house with the most points and our Cross Country Champions for 2023 is…………. Nepean

Football Victoria Soccer Clinics

This week all of our students were involved in soccer clinics in their P.E classes. These Soccer clinics were run by Shelley who is a representative from Football Australia. Shelley will be working with the students over the next four weeks in P.E classes. This week, students worked on dribbling, general ball control and passing with some fun number games to finish.
