SOCCER 

Dear schools,

I am writing in hopes your school may be able to share some information to your students about the Rowville Secondary College Junior Soccer Program, which I hope some of your students can be involved in!

It’s a very exciting year in soccer as Australia are set to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and so much positive momentum can be taken from such an incredibly exciting time for the sport, which is my intention!

In Term 2 we are resume the Rowville Sports Academy Junior soccer program for both girls and boys!

It is my hope you would be able to share our flyer in your newsletter or perhaps email your students with the below information:

 Please see attached our flyer for Term 2 sessions which will run on Wednesday afternoons from 4:10pm – 5:10pm at Rowville Secondary College East Campus. 

 The girls program will be run by Melissa Maizels, Head of Women’s Football at RSA. Mel is a professional Soccer player of 10 years at Melbourne Victory, Perth Glory & Canberra United. She is an FFA/AFC 'B' Licensed coach and holds her FFA/AFC Level GK Licence. She is a former NPLW Senior head coach, current MVFC Women's A-League Goalkeeper Coach and commenced as Head of Women’s Football at the school in 2022.

The boys program will be coached by Chris Oktaras. Chris is an AFC/FFA 'C' Licensed coach with an Academy coaching background focusing on technical execution and decision making. He is currently NPL U18 Head coach of Bentleigh Greens, Chris has over 10 years’ experience and is passionate about developing the next generation. Chris is also the boys assistant coach of the Rowville Soccer Academy 7-12 program.
