Hi all

SWIMMING

Last Friday we took 36 swimmers to the Pines Forest Aquatic Centre for the Chelsea District Swimming Carnival.  We competed in relays and individual races on a sunny day cheered on by our friends and families.  It is a cut throat event with only the first place making it through to the division event.  We had wins in 8 of the 32 events held on the day, as well many seconds and thirds.

These are the winning swimmers and their events.  We wish them the best for next Tuesday's Kingston Division Swimming Carnival.

  • 11 Year old Boys  4 x 50m Freestyle Relay  (Cooper, Leo, Patrick and Harry)
  • 12 Year old Boys  4 x 50m Freestyle Relay  (Charlie, Shay, Nicholas and Ryder)
  • 9/10 Year old Girls 50m Freestyle  Lucy
  • 11 Year old Boys 50m Freestyle  Cooper
  • 12 Year old Girls 50m Freestyle  Teagan
  • 11 Year old Boys 50m Backstroke  Cooper
  • 9/10 Year old Girls 50m Breaststroke  Lucy
  • 9/10 Year old Boys 50m Breaststroke   Sam

I would like to thank all of the parents who were able to come down and support the students.  We had great numbers at the event but you also kept bringing those kids to the 7.00 a.m. squad swimming program.  Another strength of our parents is the way you are able to network!  Thank you so much for your support for the division event.

We will be running another inter school carnival at the end of the year and we look forward to seeing you there.

THE CAGE

Finally, with our Year 6s at camp this week, I would like to thank the following Year 5s for helping us run the "Cage" at lunchtimes.  Thank you Lincoln, Patrick, Leo, Beau, Aiden, Harry, Louis, Lucy, Neve and Mika.

Yours in Sport
