Letter from the P&F President

Swimming Carnival

On behalf of our parent and carer community, I would like to say a big thank you to all the teachers at St Patrick's for running a wonderfully efficient and fun swimming carnival this week. All the children seemed to be having a great time and thank you to Monsignor Wilkes for travelling down to make the presentation. We were certainly blessed with the best day of the Walcha swimming carnival season. 

Thank you to Liz and Chloe for organising the P&F barbecue and to all the mums and dads who helped cook, serve or buy things. Thanks to everyone who put in a lunch order - we took $268 cash on the day and this will go into the kitty to help us to continue to fund educational extras for the school.

 

First P&F meeting for 2020

Thank you to everyone who attended the P&F meeting on Monday. We are pleased to welcome Karen Blomfield as our treasurer. The minutes of the meeting are attached and you can see in these the main educational items we moved to keep funding for 2020. These items are entirely funded by the P&F so it is important that we continue to meet and fundraise to complement the wonderful facility we have for our children at St Patrick's Primary School. Our next meeting is on at 6pm Monday, March 16 and we hope to see as many of you there as possible - it only goes for one hour - guaranteed

 

Spring Bulb Fundraiser 2020

After the glorious rain received across most of our district everything is greening up and gardens are coming back to life. We will be sending out an order form in the next few weeks selling spring bulbs - it is a great time to plant now the ground is softening up. More information to come soon.

 

Easter Raffle

The St Pat's P&F will also hold another Easter Raffle again this year. We are asking every family to donate an Easter theme prize (no matter how big or small as we bundle them up ) to the front office by Friday, April 3 and we will draw the raffle on Thursday, April 9. Raffle ticket forms will go home in the next fortnight.

Thank you Vanessa who assisted with the cup of tea for the Kinder parents on Kindergarten's First Day for 2020.

Next P&F Meeting - Monday 16th March 2020

P&F Meeting, to be held on Monday 16th March 2020, from 6pm in the St Pat's library. We would love to have as many parents as possible come along, and encourage mums, dads, nan’s, pop’s and other family members or carers to attend!

If you haven’t been to a P&F meeting before, not to worry! They run for approximately 1 hour and is a wonderful way for you to be involved and also kept up to date with what is happening within our great school.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Chloe Hoy

LONG LUNCHEON 2020 POSTPONED

The Long Luncheon Committee has carefully considered the current conditions due to the drought and has decided to postpone the Long Luncheon planned for April 2020 until April 2021. The committee is committed to ensuring that the Long Luncheon will take place in 2021.
