Principal's Report
As 2020 comes to a close I’m sure that everyone is looking forward to a well-earned rest. No one could have foreseen what the year would entail with a global pandemic, state lockdowns and, of course, remote learning. In what was a climate of global uncertainty, it was imperative that as a community, CSC continued to build our own positive climate for learning by empowering students and building school pride.
As a Principal I am proud of the resilience shown by our community in a year that has asked so much of each and every one of us. I am especially impressed by our 2020 graduating class. Despite not having the quintessential final year, our students have demonstrated perseverance and good humour in the face of adversity.
When faced with a seemingly impossible task, we came together as a College community. People’s struggles were met with support. We saw a rise in student advocacy and our empathy for one another grew. We have become closer as a result of our experiences and have been reminded of the power of being kind to one another.
As we turn our attention to 2021, we take with us the strengths we have gained from this unique year. We very much look forward to continuing to work with our school community to help shape our youths to become the leaders of tomorrow.
Stay safe and enjoy the holidays.
