Banksia Update

Molly Cook

Banksia have had a wonderful semester of learning at school. This Term they have been very lucky to attend three excursions! Banksia visited the Australian Centre of Contemporary Art, The National Gallery of Victoria and in the last week of term they saw the Triceratops Exhibit and the Melbourne Museum, how lucky.

In the classroom they have been working hard! During Reading they have been focusing on a range of comprehension strategies and building on their stamina to read independently. In Maths they have been learning about how to use a variety of subtraction strategies to solve equations. While in writing they have been working on recounts of excursions and the structure of a procedural text. Banksia should feel very proud of their efforts for Semester One at Debney Meadows! Please enjoy the photos of the students enjoying their time at the National Gallery of Victoria.
