International Rainbow Trail

As a gesture of encouragement on  R U OK? Day this week, the 2020 Enhance Street Art classes wish to share their ‘Rainbow Trail’ Artworks of Hope.

These have been made during remote learning and during the last 3 weeks on campus in Term 2. The international Rainbow Trail movement uses art to promote hope and positivity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants make artwork to display in their home windows, driveways and fences to encourage passers-by. Both classes participated in this while learning from home.

The Semester 1 class also managed to complete a permanent mural in the Art room courtyard area at the college. The Rainbow trail theme was part of their message in this mural but they also addressed the issues of climate change, the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement and paid homage to the frontline workers in the bushfires and pandemic.
