John XXIII Netball Club

I hope everyone had a lovely long weekend. We are gearing up for a fabulous season ahead. It has been fantastic to see all of the secondary school players throughout the grading sessions. We look forward to seeing the primary school players in the coming weeks.

 

PRIMARY SCHOOL

Registrations close Friday 11 March. Registration can either be made via the College website or via the links below:

We will do our best to place players in the same year group but mixed teams may be necessary.

Jewellery 

Jewellery is not permitted on the netball court, not even taped. Please keep this in mind if you are planning to have your players ears pierced. 

 

The player will be asked to leave the court until the jewellery is removed.

Training 

  • Year 6 will begin on Thursday 24 March 3:30pm – 5:00pm
  • Year 5 will begin on Friday 25 March time TBA
  • Years 2 – 4 training times will be advised by your coach

Grading 

Year 6 grading will take place on Thursday 31 March 3:30pm – 5:00pm

Year 5 grading will take place on Friday 1 April time TBA

Refund & Withdrawal

Refunds will not be granted after 16 March 2022. 

At this time teams have been submitted to Perth Netball Association and committed for the season.

SECONDARY SCHOOL

This is the last weekend of grading, let’s hope it’s a bit cooler as we have a lot of games to get through.

Refund & Withdrawal

All requests for withdrawal and refund must be done by this Friday 11 March 2022.

Refunds will not be given after 11 March 2022.

Grading

 This weekend we have the following gradings taking place:

  • Year 7 -  Sunday 13 March 9:00am - 10:30am
  • Year 8 - Sunday 13 March 8:00am - 9:30am
  • Year 9 - Saturday 12 March 9:30am - 10:30am
  • Year 10 - Saturday 12 March 9:00am - 10:00am
  • Years 11 & 12 - Saturday 12 March 8:00am - 9:30am

Usual reminders

  • Bring a water bottle
  • Cut your nails
  • Remove your jewellery.

Jewellery is not permitted on court during the season. It is not allowed to be taped. Players with jewellery on will be asked to leave the court and remove it.

Training begins

  • Years 7, 8 & 9 - Thursday 24 March, 3:30pm - 5:00pm
  • Years 10, 11 & 12 - Tuesday 22 March - 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Training is a compulsory component of netball. Coaches do a lot of preparation and planning for team training. Last minute absences are disruptive so please let your coach know as soon as possible if you can't attend. Not attending training without a valid reason can lead to minimal court time on Saturdays.
