Principal's Report

Dear Parents,

Great news our school received this week; our school has been funded for an upgrade to school buildings and facilities. This will replace many of our demountable classrooms with permanent buildings and upgrade existing classrooms. Details of the upgrade will be released early next term. Thanks you to all our P&C members and staff who have lobbied for improvements to our school over the past few years.

As we move towards the end of the school term teachers have prepared half yearly reports for students in all our classes. These reports are an important record of the strengths and areas of improvement for students. They will provide direction for parents to assist their children reach their potential in the second half of the school year. With support from both home and school, students thrive and build the confidence to develop their achievements in all aspects of the school curriculum. I am always impressed with the focus and assistance parents provide to our students. This has a significant impact on the results our students achieve. The consistent message students receive from both home and school sets a solid foundation for our students' learning.

Half yearly reports are available for download from our Sentral Parents portal from Wednesday 16 June. Parents are encouraged to read these reports in preparation for parent teacher interviews next week, 22 - 25 June.

Online bookings for parent/teacher interviews began last week. If you have any problems making a booking contact the school office and they will help complete your interview booking. Teachers are available for one interview per student. Interviews are scheduled for 10 minutes each.

All face to face parent teacher interviews will be held in our school hall.

Thursday 24 June - Kindergarten

Friday 25 June - Year 1 and Year 2

Zoom interviews will be held in the afternoons:

The cold weather has arrived in full this week. Our winter school uniform is available online from the Uniform Shop. This includes our school beanie and scarf, as well as jumpers and track suits. It is impressive to see such a high level of school uniforms worn by our students each day. This shows pride in our school and looks great.

Our P&C met on Wednesday night. Discussions included the Year 6 school camp, half yearly reports and the new cricket nets. Any parents wanting information on these or other topics are welcome to all our P&C meetings. We are offering zoom invitations as well as face to face attendance.

I will be on leave for the first three weeks of next term. Mr McClifty will be relieving Principal and Mrs Thakur will fill Mr McClifty's Deputy Principal position for this time.
