State and federal elections

State and federal elections
The NSW state election will be taking place this Saturday and the Federal election will also be held this year. It is important that before heading to voting booths, parents and carers are aware of the issues affecting Catholic education and the future of their children’s schooling.
CCSP has developed a range of resources for parents on the upcoming elections, including How-To guides, a Catholic education fact sheet and frequently asked questions. Did you know that it costs around $13,000 per child per year to educate a child in NSW? Fortunately, Catholic schools receive funding from state and federal governments, otherwise parents would not be able to afford a Catholic education for their children. If you’re not sure about how schools are funded or would like to know more about why we rely so heavily on financial support from Governments, visit the CCSP website.
