P & F AGM Report

St Patrick’s P&F 2019 Presidents Report

It has been another big year for the St Patrick’s P&F, and it would not have been possible without the excellent work and commitment of our executive team and volunteers.

On behalf of the entire St Patrick’s P&F Committee, I would like to thank our school principal Mrs Burton for the incredible job she is doing leading the dedicated team of education professionals at our school. Mrs Burton has been actively seeking funding for our school and is continuously planning to ensure our children have access to the best curriculum possible. I would also like to thank all the teachers and support staff for their dedication and willingness to go the extra mile for our children.

It is safe to say that every one of our children’s families has supported the school in some way this year. Thank you so much for that support because it means we can fund many additional activities and facilities for our school.

During the year we held numerous fundraising activities: bulb drives, pie drives, wine drives, readathons, mother’s day, father’s day, grandparents day, book week, street stalls, tea towels, easter raffles, wood raffles and the spectacular Long Lunch event.

The other stream of fundraising is our canteen and this year it has had a thorough overhaul with the introduction of a new menu, new administrative procedures and the father’s day barbecue Fridays.

We all contributed in some way - whether it was by donating something, buying something, making something or giving up your time to help out - thank you everyone and congratulations on your efforts.

All of these projects had leaders, and I would like to say a special thank you to them for taking the time to drive these initiatives. In particular, I would like to thank Karen Blomfield, Trina Fletcher, Rachel Greig, Chloe Hoy, Anthea Macpherson, Megan Marchant, Lisa Patterson-Kane, Amanda Thornbury and Liz Turner for their phenomenal efforts during the past year and their dedication to the P&F and our school.

Enjoy the rest of the year, and I hope you can take a well-earned break at some time over the summer holidays, so we can continue to serve our school community as effectively in 2020.

P & F Christmas Wine Drive

With Christmas just around the corner, the P&F is doing a wine drive with local wine producers, Merilba Estate Wines.

It is just like the pie & lamington drive that was held earlier in the year, but with wine!!!

Orders need to be in multiples of 6, so either 6,12,18 etc bottles but can be mixed. This is a great way to get ready for Christmas and also raise funds for the school.

Please feel free to share with friends, grandparents and others that you might think would like to stock up with great quality wine for the festive season.

Please return order forms to the school by Wednesday 4th December and the wine will be available for collection on Friday 13th December.

The bottles will have St Patrick's crest on the label and would make a lovely Christmas gift.

Emails

Parents are reminded that all contact with the school should be through the front office.  Please ensure that emails advising of absences, changes to routine, requests for meetings etc, are sent to the school email.  Please note the email address -  spwadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au
