Student Wellbeing

The Wellbeing Team: Isabella Farrar, Caitlin Elliott, Pat Pekin, Louise Rogers  & Suzanne Trease

Welcome to term 3!

A very warm welcome back to our students and parents from us at the Wellbeing team; Isabella, Pat, Caitlin, Louise and Suzanne. We hope that you enjoyed your holidays, even though for many of us in the Sandringham College community it was definitely a time to stop and tend to our own wellbeing and health.

Meet Louise-Mental Health Practitioner

We would also like to extend a welcome to the new member of our Wellbeing team, Louise Rogers! Louise is our new Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) and we are very excited to have her. Louise has a background in Social Work, having completed a Masters of Social Work as well as a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. Louise comes to us with plenty of experience working with young people in schools, especially with complex backgrounds and varying mental health needs.

Her role as Mental Health Practitioner will be to provide early intervention for individual students and groups, as well as direct counselling support for those demonstrating mild to moderate mental health needs. She will also endeavour to enhance promotion and prevention activities in the school through contributing to whole school health and wellbeing plans.

When Louise is not at school, she enjoys spending time with family and swimming at the beach. She is looking forward to supporting our students and families of Sandringham College, as well as getting to know and work alongside our staff.
