JOHANNA MEISSNER TO COMPETE IN THE NATIONAL ICE HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to Johanna Meissner of Year 8 on her selection into the Victorian Ice Hockey team. Johanna will compete in the DeFris Trophy (Australia National Ice Hockey Championships 15 and Under) to be held from 28- 31 July in Newcastle. We wish Johanna the best of luck.
INDI SPEIRS TO REPRESENT AUSTRALIA
Congratulations to Indi Speirs of Year 11 on her selection into the Australian Mogul team. At the end of term Indi went to Brisbane where she undertook training at the water ramp, before heading to the Sport and Recreation Centre in Jindabyne which is where she will be based with the national team. Indi will compete in the Junior National Mogul Championships at Mt Buller in early August and then the National Championships at Perisher. Early September Indi will compete in the ABOM Mogul Challenge followed by the National Interschools at Perisher where she will represent Sandringham College. Her northern winter will start in Finland in early December. We wish Indi the best of luck.
KEELY COYNE DRAFTED TO THE WESTERN BULLDOGS IN THE AFLW NAB 2022 DRAFT
Congratulations to Keely Coyne of Year 12 on being selected as pick number 29 in the AFLW NAB draft for the Western Bulldogs. Keely is training twice a week with the club whilst managing her studies and is looking forward to the season getting underway at the end of August.
STATE CROSS COUNTRY FINALS
In the first week of term Archie Mattsson of Year 9 and Ameya Sommer-Allie of Year 11 competed in the State Cross Country Finals at Yarra Glen. Congratulations to these students on making it through to this level of competition and dealing with the very muddy course underfoot.
