The Junior School Team

This year the Junior School is delighted to welcome three new members to our team. 

Many of you will already have met the extraordinary Mrs. Pelechaty and the Junior School team, but we would like to introduce the team to our wider school community. This year, continuing to work hard to support our junior students is the busy Mr. Kaakour—now in the role of Year 8 Coordinator. Joining him in managing our year 8 cohort, is the awesome Ms. Bailey who is new to the office and looking forward to supporting our year 8s throughout the year, and for their transition into year 9. The other dynamic duo of the office is the wonderful Ms. Yousif and none other than Mr. Wu himself who will continue to be Year 7 Coordinators.

This year, we are also grateful to continue to work with the brilliant, Ms. Gabby Panagiotou, in the role of Junior School Youth Worker, and the amazing Mrs. Haley Kerr, the Leading Teacher for Junior School and Transitions. 

As always, Ms. Brislin is our busy and hardworking Executive Officer, who students are to report to if they are late to school or have been absent and have questions about attendance. 

The whole team looks forward to working with you, and together with our students, throughout the busy year of 2022 and wants to wish you an enjoyable term holiday!

How to Support Your Child Through Year 7

Year 7 is a challenging time for young students starting high school. The best way to support your child is to regularly check with them their schedule, ensure they have their lunches and uniforms ready on the night before school, but also to call the school if there is a sudden change or they will need to be excused from school for a day. This includes ensuring their laptops are charged and ready for school each night. 

Accessing Compass

Using the school Compass and the school’s LMS is a great way to keep up with what is happening at CSC for you and your child, not just with school activities, but the classroom as well. It is also a fantastic way to keep in touch with teachers, especially with email.

To access Compass, you can use either your child’s or your account log-in information. Students’ usernames are their CSC email address or their own account login.
