Inclusion
‘This week in private study our year 7’s spent the session cooking with staff from our Integration Team. This was a fun and engaging activity to celebrate Mrs. Ryan’s birthday whilst also supporting the students to develop important life skills such as learning how to follow a recipe, kitchen safety and teamwork. The group worked together to make delicious looking cookies and cupcakes and the students were proud of their work and are already planning what’s next on the menu!’
Learning Partners
The Learning Partner Team at Craigieburn Secondary College is led by Karen Ritchie (Inclusion Leader) and consists of Cameron Archibald, Maria Korkoneas, Kylie Saccone and Ben Weissenfeld. Our team collaborate with students and families to develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and to support teachers to develop, plan and implement learning strategies that support these goals. During term 1 of this year the team has been working hard to finalise Literacy, Numeracy, Critical and Creative Thinking goals, and a Personal and Social Goal for students to be working towards in term 2. These meetings will continue in the first few weeks of term 2 to ensure all students with an Individual Learning Plan feel supported in the classroom to achieve their goals. We encourage all students to come and say hello to us in the A-wing corner office.
