Distinctions

We pride ourselves in acknowledging the work and achievements of our students and our school-wide community. To promote our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Achievement, and Community, we once again would acknowledge and honor the achievements of our cohort, in the form of Merits and more excitedly, DISTINCTIONS each term, and Term 1 of 2022 was no exception.

soon the Craigieburn fields fill

of May rain showers

I write this in reference to the 572 DISTINCTIONS issued out this term alone. More excitedly I am pleased to announce we have EVERY YEAR LEVEL from 7 to 12 has been represented by students who earned 3 Distinction Nominations!

As we know, 2022 has had its challenges and testing times during which after our 2 years in Remote Learning, and despite difficulties this term, the staff have been on the lookout to encourage and promote positivity and merits of students, resulting in the reward of Distinction Nominations. This term has seen an incredible Distinction Bonanza in which staff have promoted many distinctions for the efforts the students have displayed, particularly around our college values of Respect, Responsibility, Achievement, and Community.

Thus, with great pride and honour, I would like to mention the breakdown of Distinctions:

Year 7: 65 Distinctions

Year 8: 108 Distinctions

Year 9: 86 Distinctions

Year 10: 87 Distinctions

Year 11: 139 Distinctions

Year 12: 87 Distinctions

I would also like to commemorate the students of each year level who have achieved top honors of 4 Distinctions or more:  Year 8: Neven Kakeesa and Norell Elia

Year 12: Selin Sevinc

In particular, where we have student Nvrtare Barboura of 8C who has scored 5 Distinctions!

In summary a congratulations and massive commendations to our staff and students in the success of these achievements in the first Term in 2022 – we the CSC community hope to see a greater input in Term 2 and as 2022 rolls on.

Have a safe break!
