Outstanding Year 12!
Amy Porter - College Principal
Firstly, a huge thank you to the entire community: parents, students, siblings, grandparents, friends, education support, teaching and leadership. It takes a village and Sandy College has again seen some strong academic results in 2022. We can all take away our part in our student successes in the same way as we always try to own the areas where we can find improvement in the year that will follow.
Brief summary:
We saw an increase in our top ATAR score and maintained a median study score of 30 for the 4th year in a row.
Our median ATAR continues to rise: 75.8. This means that half of our cohort of scored VCE students achieved 75.8 or better. To have this in the top quartile of all ATAR results is simply brilliant.
To give context - Median ATAR trends at Sandy (2016 to 2022)
2016: 55.6
2017: 58.7
2018: 60.6
2019: 68.0
2020: 71.0
2021: 74.0
2022: 75.8

Child safety and wellbeing at Sandringham College: information for families and the school community
The Victorian Government has announced new Child Safe Standards to further strengthen child safety across organisations, including schools. The new standards recognise the critical importance of families and the broader school community in maintaining and promoting child safety and wellbeing.
Sandringham College has reviewed and updated our child safety policies and procedures to ensure they meet the requirements of the new standards. These are available to view [insert where your policies and procedures are published i.e. on your school’s website, via an online parent/carer/student communication platform, at the school’s front office].
We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and wellbeing and welcome feedback from families and members of our school community on ways we can further strengthen our child safety policies, procedures and practices.
If you have any suggestions, comments or questions, please contact Amy Porter.
Updated Policies can be found on our website:

As valuable partners in promoting and maintaining child safety and wellbeing at Sandringham College we welcome and encourage your feedback.
