Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,

Thank you again to all of our parents, cares and families for your amazing support in ensuring the return to school for our Foundation – Year 2 students has been such a smooth transition.

As we opened the gates on Tuesday there were lots of yawns, a little bit of apprehension and lots of smiles on the faces of our parents and carers. I think I may have also heard a couple of whoop, whoops too.

Generally, all of the students were pretty excited to be coming back to school and seeing their friends and device free! Importantly, over the past few days they have all settled exceptionally well and so it is essential to acknowledge our amazing staff for supporting the students to feel comfortable and safe.

Sensational effort and contribution of everyone in our Maramba community.

Thank you!

As a Sun Smart school, we submitted a funding application with Sun Smart for some new shade sails at the end of last year. As you may have noticed, we were successful and received funding for $18, 583.  This has enabled us to replace the existing shade sails over the Foundation climbing frame and also install a new shade sail structure over the Gallery climbing frame.

The shade sails will provide some much needed additional shaded areas in our playgrounds but they have also dramatically changed the landscape in both areas. They look absolutely amazing!

Thank you to Sun Smart and Victorian Health, for funding this great initiative in helping us keep our students safe.

Wellbeing Wednesday

Last week’s Wellbeing Wednesday provided an opportunity  for students and families to engage in a range of fun activities. In this week’s newsletter, we are able to share some of the brilliant creations and innovations from the day.

Here is an awesome example, created by Charlie 3/4P14

Read through the newsletter to see some more creations from our students.

Kind regards,
