Walton House update- Term 2

Dear Parents, Carers, Family and Students, Hello Walton!

Hello to the Walton community 😊

Term 2 has started strong! In week 1 we held our ANZAC Day assembly, which was led by students. We had many special guests, including a speaker from the Berwick RSL, Rivergum and Hampton Park Primary school leaders and more! This assembly was held to pay respect and remember the lives lost during WW2, but also to reflect upon the ongoing conflict that war has on all cultures, countries and backgrounds. The students were extremely respectful throughout the proceedings and as always, we were very proud of the HPSC community.

On Monday 8th we have the Athletics day! This will be a fun day for all, students will be able to participate in competitive events, staff v student events and also novelty events. House points are available on the day and students are encouraged to dress up to get into the spirit of the day. GO WALTON.

Reading House Points

We are running the House Reading Challenge again in 2023!! Walton took out first spot last year, so hopefully we can win two years running!

To participate, just read a book, and write a review! You get 50 house points and go into the running to win a book prize!

Uniform

A reminder that all students are expected to be in full school uniform. This means the academic uniform, or the sports uniform. Students can’t mix and match the academic and sports uniform. A reminder that as we head into winter, hoodies are not permitted nor are puffer jackets. Please ensure you contact Walton for support if you require assistance in obtaining a uniform. As a whole, the uniform at HPSC has been looking amazing. Let’s keep it up!

Attendance and late arrivals

Attendance has improved a lot since last year, well done to all students and families for prioritizing attendance. Please continue to let us know the reason for an absence if it occurs. At HSPC we want students to be having access to as much learning time as possible, so please remember to come on time, all the time 😊

Thank you

Gabi Phelan and the Walton Team
