Sacrament of Penance
This week we celebrated The Sacrament of Penance at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Randwick. We would like to thank all our Priests, Fathers Gerard, Bartha, Bill and Pat for celebrating this important sacrament of forgiveness and reconciliation with God. Thank you to our parents who presented their child and for supporting our school community tirelessly. The Students were well prepared and we commend them on their reverence and respect on the night.
Thank you Year 4 for leading us so beautifully in prayer on Thursday morning.
As you might be aware, St Patrick's Day has always been a significant day for Catholic education in Australia. It is so important to celebrate those who laid the foundations of the Catholic faith in our communities.
Well done Irish Dancers!! It's always lovely to watch your enthusiasm each year, as you provide such wonderful entertainment for our whole school community.
Caritas Fundraising
The money raised on St Patrick's day will go to Caritas. Thank you so much for all your support. We raised $132.20
Next Fun Fridays
March 25th - House Colour Day
April 1st - Pyjama Day.
Mini Vinnies have been hard at work with our Faith and Justice Leaders to bring awareness to our community about the needs of others. We have been so fortunate to have such a giving community, especially when it has been such a difficult time for families.
We are all aware of the floods and appeals that have been made for the people of Lismore. We are being asked as our STMM community to contribute to this via two options one is the The Bishop’s Appeal and the other is through the St Vincent De Paul’s Appeal. You can contact them and make a donation as per information below.
The Bishop's appeal.
BSB: 037-889
Account number: 1061 5829
Name: DOL Flood Appeal

The other cause we would like to respond to is Tonga. The Tongan community is not seeking money. Rather, they are after items for children, including:
Essentially, they are after simple materials which will give young children an opportunity to write and paint and draw. If you can assist with this by supplying one or more of the above items, we will then have them delivered to a central point where they will be boxed and sent to Tonga. These items can be brought in right up to the end of Term 1.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Pina Roppolo
