Mt Abrupt hike

Our weekend activities continue to be a highlight of our week. Last week a group of boarders walked the challenging Mt Abrupt trail in the Southern Grampians. Located near Dunkeld, the Mt Abrupt hike is one of three climbs our boarders can complete this year. 

With the sun shining and glorious views of the landscape our hike up the mountain was a perfect break from study, a great activity to socialise whilst also getting in a fitness workout. Well done boarders and I look forward to seeing you conquer all three mountains by the conclusion of this year.

Parent meeting online

One of the benefits we have come to realise from the COVID pandemic is our ability to now connect online. Families from across the globe are able to connect via zoom and stay in touch each term. Our Term One online get together was held last night, which is a great opportunity to hear a Principal’s update, boarding briefing, and a chance to hear any areas of improvement for our boarding offering.  It was wonderful to see so many people turned in.  Thank you! Our meeting’s are recorded as well so parents who are unable to attend can view in a convenient time.

Family: I have a sister, Nathalie, and a grey cat called Misty who sleeps all day. I also have two horses who I compete on. My mum and dad make good food and I love them.

Worries about boarding: Getting lost when walking to school.

Three word description of yourself: Calm, funny, smart.

Best/most challenging subjects: My best subjects are English and Maths and I struggle with Woodwork.

Hobbies and interests: I love showjumping and look forward to competing for the school.

Fav dinner and dessert: Pizza and ice cream.

Goal for year / semester / term: My goal this year is to become a better showjumper, and to get used to boarding.

What will you miss from home:My cat, my family and alone time.

Sport or activity you’d like to try: Horse riding

How do you relax / spend free time: I like to read and ride my horses.

Who is your idol / hero: Vicki Wilson because she does amazing work with horses.

“As a career, I would like to”: be a vet, psychiatrist, psychologist or Olympic showjumper.
