All while the sickly sweet scents of spices and fruits mingled with the stench of human closeness. Lyra struggled to keep up with the girl who was so light on her feet she could sneak up on a shadow. Her name was Megan. She had smiled with the hazel hawke eyes of March, Lyra’s best friend had said she had the eyes of a thief, and had purred back at her ‘with the smile of a killer’. Megan stop outside a brown coffee stained tent. She fixed her eyes on Lyra. Eyes of liquid gold fleck with shards of brown, they were the eyes of living chaos. Chaos grabbed her hand and they disappeared into the tent.
