Performing Arts

Every afternoon, after classes have finished for the day, you will hear beautiful music soaring from the BPAC. All ensemble rehearsals are in full swing, with various styles of music from Baroque to The Beatles! Some mornings you will also hear the Junior Choirs, as they perfect their harmonies and diction. All these ensembles will feature in May’s College Open Day, which is fast approaching.

Choreography, acting, and singing are all combined in The Little Mermaid rehearsals as they prepare to entertain the community in August. The hours that the staff are already putting into this is appreciated by the students and the College.

The Junior School also featured its first Performer of The Week in Junior Chapel. Last week Elvin Pan (6G) performed on the piano and the students appreciated the jazz undertones of his rendition of Willie Wagglestick’s Walkabout, played with seeming ease. Elvin is a talented musician, who performs in many Junior ensembles, vocal groups, and the Senior Concert Band. We are now looking forward to our next Performer of the Week performance!
