VET Award Winners

Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools

A small number of Year 10-12 Oxley students choose to undertake subjects in specialist vocational areas over two to three years. Subject tuition fees apply, and students generally take their subject during Wednesday afternoons.

A range of subjects are offered and students at Oxley have completed Certificates in Equine Studies, Sound Production, Beauty Services, Automotive Studies, Fashion Design, Animal Studies and more.

In Senior School Assembly on Monday 28 February, it was a pleasure to present two student awards to Year 12 students for their performance in their VET subject in 2021.

Elijah Barlow (12.8) is congratulated on gaining a Certificate of Merit in the completion of his Certificate 3 Music Industry - Sound Production studies.

Maggie Loaring (12.10) was presented with a medal along with a certificate and is congratulated for her selection as Mullum VET Cluster Award winner 2021 for excellence in her Year 1 course of Certificate 2 in Animal Studies.

Congratulations to these students on their fine achievements and best wishes to our current cohort of VET students with their new studies in 2022.
