NAPLAN

HWPS students in Years 3 and 5 will participate in the National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests from Tuesday 10 May until Friday 20 May. This year we will complete the tests via the online platform, except for the Year 3 Writing Test.

Prior to the tests, all schools are required to complete a School Readiness Test and a Coordinated Practice Test.

The School Readiness Test is an opportunity for students to learn how to navigate the platform under test conditions. 

All students at our school are expected to participate in the tests, however, children with a disability or who have been learning English for less than one year may be exempt from the tests. Parents/Carers who wish to withdraw their child from undertaking the tests will need to notify the school in writing.
