Lapathon

Dear Families, 

Our annual Lapathon is a very popular event where all students actively participate to get fit and help raise money for our school.  This is one of our biggest fundraising and community events of the year and we encourage all students to get involved and collect sponsorship pledges from family and friends. Students have brought home flyers & sponsorship form.

This year, we are raising money to fund the installation of a new shade sail over our senior playground:  

• Donations can be made or
• Sponsorships per lap pledged  
• Donation or sponsorship money is due back by Friday 1st April.
• Please return money in a labelled envelope to the classroom teacher  
• Go crazy with top-to-toe colour & wear your HOUSE COLOURS! 

Every student who brings in their sponsorship money will receive a free icy pole token. On the day, students will have 45 minutes to run and/or walk as many laps as possible around the track at St James Oval.  As a rough guide, students can complete between 10 - 20 laps.  F - 2 students will run around an inner circle on St James Park oval whilst the Gr 3 - 6 students will run around the boundary. 

This year we have some AMAZING PRIZES on offer for:

· the family who runs the most laps

· the family who raises the most money

· the student in F - 2 & 3 - 6 who runs the most laps 

There will also be a Morning Tea held for the student in each grade that runs the most laps.  Ice cream cups can be purchased once the students are back at school after the Lapathon for $2 each. The winners will be announced at Assembly. 

It is a fabulous community event and parents are encouraged to join us at the park from 11.30am. Please be mindful of the COVID current guidelines. We look forward to having some fun!
