$250 Power Saving Bonus

The Victorian State government $250 Power Saving Bonus scheme has been extended to 30 June 2022. Due to large number of eligible households not accessing the bonus the department has announced the extension of scheme.

Over 60% of eligible households haven’t applied to receive the $250 bonus to date. We need all service providers, community workers to inform clients and their communities about accessing the bonus. Please note this is a ONE TIME only application meaning, if they applied previously, they cannot apply again.

To be eligible for the bonus, one person must be receiving an eligible Centrelink benefit under a:

•            Pension (Age, Disability, Carers)

•            Jobseeker, Youth allowance or Austudy

•            Single Parent Payment

•            Department of Veterans Affairs Pension or Veterans Affairs Gold Card

•            Special benefit for pensioners (must be the blue card not the health care card)

Please note that name on the Electricity bill and Centrelink does not need to match but the address must.

To apply, please contact Surmeli Aydogan 0466 038 261 and have your Centrelink and electricity bill ready.

Our next intake for our Martial Art, Maori Weaponary School starts the week of the 7th February across 3 areas of Melbourne. More than just a fighting school, we will teach you how to become the best “Toa” that you can be. By “Toa” we mean, to be the most positive contributor, provider and role model to yourself, your family and for your community. To stand in your “mana” and defend what you value.

Come and let us surround you in an awesome supportive “village” environment.

You don’t have to be Maori to learn what we do, you just have to be patient and open to learning.
