YEAR 9 MORRISBY PROFILE PROGRAM

Our 2022 Morrisby Profile Assessment that is available to all our year 9 students will take place on Wednesday 16th March during periods 3 & 4.  A reminder for parents to provide consent by 7th March, via Compass for their child so that they can take part in this valuable program.  Thank you to all those parents who have already provided consent

YEAR 10 CAREER ACTION PLANNING PROGRAM

New in 2022 is Wheelers Hill Secondary College’s CAP program.  All year 10 students will receive a one-to-one career counseling session with a Careers Consultant.

The counseling sessions will provide students with the following:

  • An open discussion on how they are traveling with school, what their future goals/dreams maybe
  • Guidance to support them with making informed courses & career decisions
  • Assistance in understanding how their interests, hobbies, subject choices can lead to rewarding careers
  • Knowing how to conduct their own career research
  • Knowledge & understanding of education, training and employment options that relate to their career aspirations
  • Assist them with understanding Senior School Options and what might be suitable for them
  • An opportunity to review their year 9 Morrisby Profile if they wish
  • Support students with their goal setting

Counseling interviews will take place every Friday from 1st April and continue until 17th June.  Every student will be allocated an interview time and students will be notified of their time via their Compass timetable.  Students will need to take note of their interview time so that they don’t miss out on this important conversation.   In order for the counseling interviews to take place, students must have updated their individual Career Action Plans prior to their interview.  Student CAPS can be accessed via the Careers Website where they have opened their own student account.

We wish every student a very productive meeting and hope that it provides a lot of inspiration for them😊
