Homestay Family Training/Workshop

On Wednesday 3rd March, our homestay coordinator, Ms Jessica Luong, hosted our current homestay families at school in what was our very first ‘Homestay Training Workshop’. 

The purpose of the workshop was to provide up to date information relevant to all families hosting International Students at our school. This included a brief history of our program which has been running for 25 years, the effects of COVID-19 on our program, the 6 monthly homestay visits that the school is required to complete with each homestay family, general responsibilities and home environment, supervision, student care and responsibility agreement.

The workshop proved to be a great success and allowed homestay families to be very clear on both their responsibilities and the needs of our  International Students.

As our program grows, and with the International borders now open, we will be looking for homestay families to support our program.
