Junior Unit Update
School Theme: “Kindness is God’s love in action”
Each Junior Unit class has been delving deeper into our whole school theme for 2022
“Kindness is God’s love in action”.
Students have been naming what kindness looks like and how we can show kindness to others just as God shows kindness to all.
Ash Wednesday
The Year 1's (Foundation away on Wednesday) and the 1/2's participated in lovely Ash Wednesday Liturgies this week.
Students changed the prayer table cloth from green to purple to signify the change in Liturgical time from Ordinary to Lent.
Junior students will also begin a new Religious Education unit in the coming weeks also focusing on Lent.
PMP
We have been thoroughly enjoying our two sessions of PMP each week with Mr Wild and Mr Andronaco.
Students have been focusing on developing their Gross Motor Skills through many catching, bouncing, throwing and dribbling activities.
Some other tasks have required some strong core strength, which has been an interesting challenge! When the energetic music playing in the background stops, students pack up their activity and move to the next station.
PMP is all about involving all students in further enhancing their eye to hand coordination as well as well as their fitness, awareness and sense of self.
Years 1/2 Self Portraits
Students in Years 1/2 had great delight in drawing their own self portrait using grey lead, followed by water colour paints to provide colour and detail.
