Outdoor Education
On Wednesday the 15th of March, the Year 10 Outdoor Ed class made their way out to Lake William Hovell for a day of adventure on the King River. The group were met with sunny weather as they wound their way by bus up through the small hamlet of Cheshunt and on to the upper reaches of the King River. A quick stop at the dam wall saw the class gearing up and learning about the local environment, before scoffing down their lunch and inflating ‘sleds’ for a meander down the early Autumn rapids that the King River had to offer. All students took to the sledding like fish to water and were jovially splashing about in the calmer sections of river in between the rapids. There were many smiles and laughs shared before the journey ended, with the team engaging in an efficient pack up and embarking on the journey back to school. A special thanks to the staff from 15 Mile Creek Outdoor School for facilitating the excursion.
