Principal's Notes

Dear families,

Parent Teacher Interviews

It was wonderful to see so many families in attendance for the semester one interviews. I really appreciate everyone’s effort to come and support their own children's learning. The teachers were able to discuss classroom expectations, routines and how the students have settled into school so far for the year. This opportunity for discussion between home and school is always invaluable. We will be holding another after school session of interviews in early term three. This will allow an opportunity to discuss the end of semester reports and areas to focus on for the remainder of the year.

Bio Cats

The Year 5/6 students and myself will be leaving Monday morning bright and early from Hamilton (from the Uniting Church car park opposite McDonalds at 6.15am).  Students from Macarthur, Dunkeld, Penshurst and Merino Primary Schools will be attending and travelling with us. We are off to GMHBA stadium to participate in activities relating sports performances for elite athletes.  I am very excited as I never been to GMHBA stadium and I am hoping we might see a few of the Geelong team. Most of my family are Cats supporters and love their footy. Please read the attached form if you need details of times, what to take, etc.

SGSSA Athletics at Pedrina Park

Students in Years 3-6 will be attending the SGSSA Athletics in at Pedrina Park on Wednesday 29th March.  Students are to arrange their own transportation to and from this event.  Please remember to bring lunch, drink, snacks, hats and sunscreen. Cavendish PS is once again running the long jump pits.  We will most likely need some parent helpers on the day for raking, measuring etc.  Please let myself or Sally know if you can help out.

The program for the day is attached below and all students have received a paper program.
