Harmony Day

This year, PMPS will be celebrating Harmony Day on Thursday 23rd March. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. It’s also a time to reflect on the importance of respecting and celebrating diversity in our community.

Students are invited to wear an outfit that represents their culture, or wear orange (the official Harmony Day colour). On the day, students will work on activities that promote cultural awareness and participate in a parade to share their outfits.  The parade will commence at 2pm on the oval, parents are welcome to attend.

Staff have chosen to support the charity, Feast for Freedom this Harmony Day. Feast for Freedom raises funds for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre to provide food, shelter and health services for people seeking asylum in Australia.
