Week 9 Term 1

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them”

–Matthew 18:20

Dear Parents and Carers,

St Fidelis' Community Fete Day was a wonderful success last Sunday. Mother Nature was kind to us and you could not have asked for a better day, filled with fun, laughter, food and community spirit.  It was amazing to see and feel the spirit of the St Fidelis Community within our school at this event.

It was great to think that ex-parents, grandparents and students still have a connection with St Fidelis and put their hand up to support and make this a true parish and school community event.

The success of this year's Community Fete Day was due to the organisation and participation of all Parents and Friends committee members and their partners. A special mention to Josie Servello and Bec Koutivas for leading this very successful event. I am sure I speak on behalf of Josie and Bec in thanking all the P&F committee members, the many, many parents, grandparents and parishioners that assisted before, during and after the event.

Lastly, a very special thank you to each and every one of you for attending and contributing to this Community Fete Day in any way that you could. All funds raised will go directly back to your children and I will inform you where these will be allocated in the near future.

 Vigil Mass-Mmadike Family

A reminder there will be a Vigil Mass for the late Jammy Mmdike, on Wednesday, March 22nd, 7:00 pm at St Fidelis' Church.  All of the St Fidelis' Community are invited and welcomed to attend.

On Friday 24th March at 9:00 am in our school hall, we will hold a whole school prayer remembering Jammy Mmadike. This will be an opportunity for our school community and children to pray for the family.

We ask that all the children bring a flower from their garden to this prayer service.

Year 3 Reconciliation

This Thursday night, the Year 3 students are celebrating their First Reconciliation in the St Fidelis' church at 7:00 pm. We welcome all their families to this special occasion as they take another step in the faith journey of our students.

Kinder Visits To St Fidelis

This week we welcome Brentwood Four Year old children to St Fidelis. The students will engage in a STEM activity with Mr Frazzetto and the Year 6 students.  Our goal is to build relationships with our neighbouring kindergartens, showcase our school and facilities and allow the kindergarten children to begin their connection with the school.

Sibling Enrolments for 2024

If you have a child commencing Foundation in 2024 can you please enrol your child by the end of March so we can determine how many places will be available to new families for 2024? Collect your enrolment forms from the school office or download them from our website. Applications are coming in very slowly. Please download or pick up an enrolment form from the office. I would like the completed forms in the office by the end of Term One. Thank you for your cooperation with this request.

Have a lovely week,

Manuela
