Welcome to Music 

Our Prep and Year One/Two students are immersed in a rich Kodaly developmental sequentialmusic program based on singing. There has been a lot of fun and learning had by all so far thisterm. Students have met ‘One Eyed Jack the Pirate Chief’, been swallowed by a boa constrictor and even found Lucy Lockett's lost pocket! Props, puppets, games and percussion instrumentsare all part of the musical magic for our Junior students - we even have movie time! Hopefully you will hear the beautiful singing of our Juniors together as a choir very soon!

PERFORMING ARTS

How exciting to have Performing Arts back at Our Lady of Fatima for 2023! Our Year 3-6 students have been learning various games based around time, beat and rhythm. The students have also been taking part in cardio drumming. We have been using pool noodles as rhythm sticks. The rhythm sticks allow us to create beats and express ourselves through dance and movement. 

You may have also heard the buzz about the 'Sid Shuffle' or the 'Nutbush'! These dance routines have generated much joy and laughter during our classes.
