Robotics and Coding

Last week students from the Year 9 and 10 Digital Technologies and Robotics elective visited Yarra Ranges Tech School. Throughout the half-day session students were challenged to program a robotic dog with the goal of getting the dog to complete a series of moves. They engaged well during the session, where most learnt how to program the robot to perform a series of unique moves. 

Sessions like this not only develop coding skills, but it also further develops students’ problem solving and computation thinking capabilities. For the next session at the tech school students will be practicing and developing these skills further with drones.
