Warrandyte Festival - eskies (and a few more volunteers) needed

Thank you so much to all those who have signed up so far. We have had an amazing response to our request for helpers and we only have a few shifts left to fill. If you haven't yet volunteered, please consider doing so. Remember that it could be your name that makes the difference as to which class wins the PJ and movie day prize!

Absolutely no experience is needed and you can sign up at https://acps.to/2023-festival-roster

Even if you can't help, but have an esky we could use for the weekend, please let us know. Last year we used 8 and we could have done with a few more.

The Festival was our major fundraiser last year and that was just from one day. This year we have two days to raise money for new playground equipment but we can’t do it without your help. Working at the food stall is good fun, helps the school and doesn’t take up much of your time so please join us and get your friends to help out too.

As an incentive, we will have a prize for the class who provides the most volunteer helpers (measured by total time committed). A pyjama day complete with movie and popcorn…just for the winning class. If that’s not a reason to sign up, I don’t know what is. (And yes, if you have more than one child, your volunteer help will be counted for the classes of all your children.)

Maroondah/Manningham Swimming Carnival

We had two students competing in the Maroondah/Manningham Division Swimming Carnival at Aquanation in Ringwood yesterday.

Aisling (5/6SC) won the girls 11y backstroke race and Charlie (5/6SC) came 3rd in the boys 12/13y backstroke and 4th in the boys 12/13y breaststroke.

Aisling has now qualified for the the Eastern Metropolitan Region swimming carnival on March 24. Congratulations and good luck!

Take care and enjoy the long weekend,
