Mission Action Day 2023

Mazenod College will hold its annual Mission Action Day (MAD) on Thursday 6th April (last day of Term 1), to raise awareness and funds to support the work of the Oblate Missions. The Oblates continue to serve those in need in marginalised communities facing increasing hardship. Our annual fundraiser endeavours to support this work and build on the Catholic social teaching principles of upholding human dignity and working for solidarity.

Details about the day will be sent home to families within the week. In the meantime, you are invited to join in a range of our lead-up activities.

What can you do right now to begin supporting MAD 2023?

  • Donate items for raffle prizes eg. gift vouchers, electronics, sporting gear, etc.

The college would greatly appreciate any contribution from families or businesses that could offer to assist the fundraising efforts of the students. All donations of money and gifts will be acknowledged in this newsletter which is distributed to over 1400 students and available online. Items can be delivered to the student counter or reception where they will be gratefully received. Items big or small are welcome as prizes will be bundled or stand-alone.

  • Support the pre-events at school for MARCH MAD-ness

More details will be provided in the coming weeks via this newsletter and MazCom, so please watch this space!

If you would like any further information please contact Joshua Hunter, Social Justice Coordinator, at the college via jhunter@mazenod.vic.edu.au
