CPS Students have hit the ground running in Performing Arts this Term! 

Our Term 2 focus is music, highlighting particular percussion instruments and voice.

The students enjoyed their first lessons with Mrs Huf on Tuesday morning and there was a buzz when it was announced that they would all be taking part in the 2022 Hamilton Eisteddfod!

All students from Prep to Grade 6 will compete in the Primary School Choral Championship. Students have begun learning the two songs that they will present at the Eisteddfod, 'I Like The Flowers' and 'Little Liza Jane.' 

Similarly, all students will make up a percussion instrumental ensemble that will play 'Count On Me' by Bruno Mars. This will be entered into the Primary School Students' Multi-Instrumental Group section of the Eisteddfod. Students have already begun playing the first few bars of the song on marimbas, xylophones, piano and claves. 

A lot of hard work ahead but we're up for the challenge!
