Student Services : Careers

Reflecting on term one
With term break almost upon us, it’s good to reflect on another hectic term. The focus this term has predominantly been on Year 10 students. Careers Day was a great success and our review of the program hopes to make it even better in 2023… stay tuned! Year 10 students have also been working on securing their work experience placement for Term 2. This is no easy feat in these ‘covid normal’ times, and I have been really impressed with the determination and resilience of students in reaching out to find a placement. Thanks to all the families who have been assisting students to use every network in their reach. Wishing everyone a relaxing and rejuvenating break.
Year 10 work experience - deadline is this Friday
Year 10 students are in their final weeks to arrange their placement for May, and all the accompanying paperwork. Students should speak to their Connect teacher as their first point of contact in organising their placement and completing their OHS and forms.
Placement and all documentation due to be completed by THIS FRIDAY!
Further instructions and information can be found at Compass> School Documentation> Careers and Pathways> Work Experience & OHS
University holiday programs
Many universities are holding events for secondary students over the holidays. These include programs to learn more about certain courses or industries, campus tours and online course information sessions.
