How to Rule the World

Creating our own political parties to improve Australia
Over the past few weeks, year 10 students in this class exploring politics have been working on creating their own political parties, that reflect their beliefs and ideas around improving Australia. The official campaigns were held last week in the theatre, and voting took place online the next day.
Ms Brogan and Mr Scanlon's year 10 How to Rule the World classes worked hard to create the campaign that would be voted the best party to govern.
The following is an email from Ms Diamond who watched the campaigns.
Thank you so much for inviting me to your presentations yesterday. I was very impressed by the skills that I saw on display, the creativity in the construction of the campaign videos and promotional posters was outstanding. I thought that each student represented their campaign with passion and was very impressed by how articulately you all communicated your ideas. The research that had gone into each policy point was thorough and it was great to see the campaigns drawing on so much research. You all did a wonderful job at synthesising complex information and communicating it effectively to your audience. I came out of the presentations feeling very proud and feeling like I may have witnessed a future Australian leader on their first campaign trail!
